Viewing and Memorial Arrangements

Article related photo.Coach Joe Paterno’s life and legacy will be remembered in a public memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday in the Bryce Jordan Center. There will also be two public viewings at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on Penn State's University Park campus, the Paterno family announced today.

Public viewings are scheduled for 1:00–11:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, and 8:00 a.m.–noon Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, located near the intersection of Curtin Road and Allen Street on the University Park campus.

A private funeral service for the family will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, and the funeral procession will begin at approximately 3:00 p.m. The procession will leave the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, turn left onto Curtin Road near the Pattee-Paterno Libraries and travel Curtin Road past Beaver Stadium. The procession will then turn right onto Porter Road and turn right onto College Avenue, heading west through downtown State College. The burial is private.

A public memorial service, “A Memorial for Joe,” will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, in the Bryce Jordan Center. Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. Demand for tickets to the memorial service is expected to be extremely high. A limit of two tickets per person will be available for the memorial service starting at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at www.GoPSUsports.com/tickets. Interested patrons can also call 1-800-NITTANY.
