Meet Shelly BMW's Joseph Ra.

Of course he passed the background check just fine, but while waiting for the results of the screening to come back in hopes of joining the police force, Shelly BMW Floor Manager Joe Ra “temporarily” got a job in the automobile industry.

That was in 1999 – and Joe is still working in the industry.

“Initially I wanted to be a cop,” Joe said, “but I ended up being a top salesman and never left.”

Prior to beginning his successful career in the automobile industry, Joe was in the Army for five years and during that time was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Korea (for two years).

The Fullerton native loves every aspect of his job at Shelly BMW – the cars, meeting new people and the BMW product in general. As Floor Manager, Joe helps close deals other salesman need assistance with.

“I love every aspect of it,” Joe said of working at Shelly BMW. “We carry the best inventory, provide the best service to our customers in sales and service and most importantly we really do care about our customers.”

When he’s not helping people gear up for the ride of their life in a brand new BMW, Joe likes racing cars (he has been known to take his BMW to the racetrack), fishing, and spending time with his wife and three children.
