The LINCOLN MKT is a rare blend of style, comfort, power and fuel efficiency. For 2012, Lincoln engineers decided to up the ante even further. The three-row premium crossover with EcoBoost™ technology costs substantially less for 2012.
The 2012 LINCOLN MKT starts at $44,300 for a front-wheel drive luxury utility with veritable acres of space and a fuel-efficient 3.7-liter Duratec V6. The 3.7-liter engine rings up the best fuel economy in its class, an EPA-estimated 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. Looming larger on the LINCOLN MKT news front for 2012 is price juggling for the all-wheel drive EcoBoost model. The twin-turbocharged 355-hp 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 starts at $46,295, and all-wheel drive is essentially thrown in for free. The bottom line is that Lincoln is giving buyers increased value for 2012. The 2012 EcoBoost all-wheel drive powertrain is priced the same as last year’s AWD model with a 270-hp 3.7-liter V6, which is no longer available, a savings of $3,000 compared to the 2011 model.
The LINCOLN MKT, like others in the Lincoln lineup, has a strong reputation for reliability. It has the highest score for long-term durability among all vehicle brands in the annual J.D. Power and Associates2011 Vehicle Dependability Study. In addition, it's rated at the top of a satisfaction study by AutoPacific. The Vehicle Satisfaction Award from AutoPacific is an industry benchmark for measuring how satisfied owners are with their new vehicles. This study, by the Southern California-based automotive research firm, summarizes the results from more than 68,000 new vehicle owners. The LINCOLN MKT won in the Premium Luxury Crossover SUV category.

Along with the convenience of SYNC voice control, drivers can operate the climate control and audio system via voice or by using the standard center-stack touchscreen. The LINCOLN MKT also stands out for its occupant safety features. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has designated it a "Top Safety Pick." To earn the ranking, a vehicle must receive the top rating of “good” in all four of the Institute’s crash tests: Front, side, rear and rollover. The LINCOLN MKT features standard electronic stability control through AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control® (RSC™), which keeps the vehicle firmly planted in hazardous situations. The LINCOLN MKT also has an advanced structural safety system that combines octagonal front frame rails, tunnel rails and support members that are designed to absorb and redirect crash force energy away from the passenger compartment.
Other driver safety technologies include Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support, Active Park Assist and BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert. The latter comes in especially handy when backing out in crowded parking lots where visibility might be an issue. The Lincoln Safety Canopy System, Tire Pressure Monitoring and the SOS Post-Crash Alert System™ are just a few more of the systems in the MKT designed to keep you safe.
LINCOLN MKT owners can choose between six- and seven-passenger versions, with two second-row seating configurations. Regardless of seating configuration, second- and third-row occupants will enjoy best-in-class legroom. A standard 60/40-split/folding rear bench seat features heated outboard seating positions. Power “fold and tumble” second-row buckets or captains’ seats with heating, cooling and power-assisted lumbar adjustments are available as well. A rear console-mounted, five-quart-capacity refrigerator is available in the six-passenger configuration. Standard features also include ambient lighting, Intelligent Access with Push Button Start, Panoramic Fixed Glass Vista Roof and leather seating surfaces with heated and cooled front seats.
