Dennis Enoch is another one of the BMW of Austin team members who I’ve known for over 17 years, so it makes this interview very easy! As a matter of fact, if it hadn’t been for Dennis, I might not have ever had the chance to work here, since it was he that recommended I apply at BMW of Austin.
Quite frankly, Dennis is much more than meets the eye. He has sold more Certified BMW's in one year that any one person should reasonably be able to, thus earning him the honor of ‘Salesman of the Year’. He has also performed quite admirably as both a sales manager and a finance manager in the past, yet he has discovered that he prefers to be right on the front line, advising and assisting his clients in finding just the right pre-owned vehicle to suit their needs. His customers will tell you it is nice to have someone with his level of expertise walk them through the process.
In addition to watching him match the right customer to the right car, I’ve seen him do things few other automobile salesmen can. Like perform a wedding service…which he can since he is also an ordained minister! Perhaps it is the inner calm he gained in his theological training that makes him so good at understanding his customers’ needs and wants. Whatever it is, he certainly makes the most of it!
Dennis has a total of 15 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, yet he still has the heart of a big kid. An avid motorcycle rider, you can often find his bike parked right behind the used car building. He and his wife of 35 years are famous for taking long rides ‘off the beaten path’ as she too is a motorcycle rider.
I sat down with Dennis recently and asked him some of my favorite questions-
