For true BMW enthusiasts, their cars or motorcycles are more—far morethan just transportation. Their vehicles represent the passion that inspires them to do, to go and to be who they are.

BMW Unscripted is a series of short, online films that celebrate these free spirits and all the intangible, infectious qualities they express through their unique lives on the road.

You’ll meet Murray Fowler of Costa Mesa, California, whose 1969 2800 CS—affectionately named BLU MAX—has gained over 400,000 miles of memories and is imbued with a special “spirit and soul.” It’s a car that Murray says, “had been carved out of one piece.”

Grant McIlrath of Oudtshoorn, South Africa, who is known as “The Meerkat Man,” runs the Meerkat Magic Conservation Project. Meerkats, of course, typically don’t like humans or the cars they drive—except, for some inexplicable reason, Grant and his BMW. “I think if people had to see this car, where I’ve taken it, they would actually not believe it,” says Grant.

Sabine Schmitz of Germany is known as the “Queen of the Ring,” a title earned as the “fastest taxi driver in the word,” with 45 races won on Germany’s famed Nürburgring track. In her unscripted film, Sabine will take you on a thrilling turn around “the ring” in her BMW M5.

Then there is Tiffany Coates from England, whose burning desire to travel has led her to be the world’s most far-reaching woman motorcyclist with over 100,000 miles of broad highways and remote back roads covered on her BMW motorcycle.
