If you drive a Lexus, the chances are very slim that you will ever need to call for roadside assistance. Still, problems do occur from time to time; when they do, as a Lexus owner, you can expect exceptional service, as a certain doctor and Lexus enthusiast recently found out.
In July, Dr. M was on his way to a routine maintenance appointment at his local Lexus dealer when he had a flat tire on the freeway. He called ahead and told the service consultant at the dealer that he would be late.
Ordinarily, after calling the dealer, the doctor would have contacted Lexus Roadside Assistance or started to change the flat tire by himself. He never got the chance to do either, however, because of the extraordinary service that is routine for his Lexus dealer.
After speaking with the doctor, the service consultant at the doctor’s local Lexus dealer immediately initiated a coordinated response to his customer’s predicament. He sent a diagnostic specialist to provide Dr. M with a loaner car with instructions to stay with the doctor’s car until assistance arrived.
What the service consultant did not realize at the time is that his quick, responsible actions enabled Dr. M to arrive at his job at the local U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs medical center. And because the doctor got there on time, he was able to keep all of his 18 appointments with combat veterans just back from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Because of the actions of the Lexus service consultant, 18 veterans received their post-combat exams, as well as mental health services and family-care support without the hassle and inconvenience of rescheduling their appointments.
Dr. M told the service consultant, “In essence, your team enabled me to do my job in serving our nation’s veterans.”
Not every situation will be so impactful, but when a problem does occur, as a Lexus owner, it’s nice to know that you can expect the same level of care and service from your local Lexus dealer.
