Domestic propane stockpiles increased 800,000 bbl to 56.2 million bbl during the week-ended Sept. 23, according to the Energy Information Administration.
At the current level, supply is below the lower limit of the average range and 11.4% less than U.S. propane stocks a year ago this week, the EIA said.
Regionally, in PADD 3 Gulf Coast, stocks were up 300,000 bbl to 23.9 million bbl. The PADD I East Coast region EIA data showed stocks up 300,000 at 4.9 million bbl. PADD 2 Midwest propane supply built 100,000 bbl to 25.2 million bbl. For PADDs 4 and 5, which include the Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions, propane stocks were up 100,000 at 2.2 million bbl for the week reviewed.
