If you’re thinking of buying a 2011 BMW 335i Sedan or 335i xDrive Sedan, there’s one option you should not pass up – the recently announced BMW Performance Edition, which adds 20 more horsepower to your vehicle. It’s a stunning performance value.

BMW has announced the  new package option to help make the Ultimate Driving Machine a little more “ultimate.” The BMW 335i and 335i xDrive models already offer knockout performance from their TwinPower Turbo Technology inline-six-cylinder engines. With 300 hp and 300 lb/ft of torque from 1,500 to 5,000 rpm, a 335i can accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in just 5.4 seconds (manual transmission). The Performance Edition boosts hp to 320 and torque to between 317 and 332 lb/ft, depending on transmission choice. It cuts 0.2 seconds from the zero-to-60 mph time, and the additional power and torque make the car feel even more responsive in every day driving.

Passing power is up as well with a 335i Performance Edition, accelerating 0.5 seconds quicker from 50 to 75 mph. BMW enthusiasts will quickly notice that the 320-hp rating of the BMW Performance Edition matches the output of the 335is, which is not available in a sedan version. So now, you can have 335is performance in the 335i sedan.

The Performance Edition also adds black kidney grilles for a sporty appearance, and a Performance Edition badge conveys the car’s newly gained power boost.

If you already have a BMW 135i or 335i, a retrofit version of the package will be announced shortly. While doing that, why not also take a look at the available BMW Performance Exhaust and Aero Kit components, carbon fiber mirror caps and rear deck spoiler? It’s an opportunity to add a sportier edge and personal touch to your BMW.

For your newly purchased car, the $550 package price can be added into the financing. The Performance Edition upgrade on a newly purchased vehicle is of course covered by the BMW four-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

The BMW Performance Edition contains the all-new “Power Kit”. BMW Power Kits are the only form of engine “Tuning Kits” approved and covered under the BMW of North America limited warranty. Power Kits are designed and tested by BMW engineers to provide the highest power increase without sacrificing reliability.

This special offer is valid for a limited time through the end of October 2011 on newly purchased vehicles.
