Office Depot is the world's largest seller of office products and an industry leader in every distribution channel, including stores, direct mail, contract delivery, the Internet, and business-to-business electronic commerce. Office Depot’s Business Services Division offers competitive prices and a breadth of products and services. Office Depot’s Business Services Division makes finding and ordering products easy for customers--including having the most comprehensive Internet- based electronic commerce system in the industry. Their prices are always low because they buy in large volumes. They deal only with leading brand name and private label manufacturers. They have an extensive warehousing and distribution network.
Contract and Demand ManagementTo control spending patterns, it is critical that all participants in the purchasing program buy the “right” products at the “right” price. By periodically reviewing usage patterns, Office Depot can insure that changing product demands are recognized and that new products are transitioned onto the contract list and obsolete products are transitioned off. Once the “right” products are identified, the demand for these items can be focused to the best value brand by utilizing the customized requisition process.
Inventory If you do not have the product you cannot make a next day delivery. Office Depot has more than twice the number of SKUs in their own warehouse compared to their nearest competitor. Their inventory managers are measured against their company goal of 100% fill rates against the top 1500 ordered items. Because they do not rely on wholesalers they can achieve more than a 98% fill rate against all orders and they embrace the responsibility associated with providing a comprehensive selection of products available for next day delivery.
Order Cut Off Time
Office Depot has the latest cutoff times in the industry. Early ordering cutoff times essentially cause many orders to be delivered in two days. Because they control their own inventory and ordering process they can provide later cutoffs and adjusted cutoff times for all of your locations. By utilizing their Internet-ordering you can order up until 5:00 p.m. and still make a next day delivery in all of their metropolitan markets. Extended ordering times increase your next day delivery ability and coverage.
Online Billing Office Depot’s “industry unique” system allows authorized CCC end users to access all billing and usage information with the click of a button. This ability drastically reduces the lead time of having to order these reports from your supplier, allowing you to get the information you need when you need it.
Minority Vendor Program - MWDVE - Companies owned by minorities, women, or disabled veterans
Office Depot actively supports the growth and development of minority and small businesses. They share the common goal of increasing the amount and the variety of goods and services purchased from minority-owned firms to offer to customers. This MWDVE symbol, found throughout their catalog, represents Office Depot's long-standing commitment to diversity.
In efforts to heighten their awareness of minority-owned businesses and their product lines, they regularly attend trade shows sponsored by the National Minority Supplier Development Council and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. These trade shows allow them to meet with the people who have built these companies and to have the opportunity to test their products.

Store Purchasing Card
To expand the business partnership with customers and accommodate emergency and after-hour purchases, where appropriate, Office Depot has “linked” the Business Services Division customer to over 800 U.S. Office Depot retail locations. Please note: the Store Purchasing Card is currently linked only to U.S. locations, not to international store locations. The use of the Store Purchasing Card allows the end-user to purchase supplies at their established contract price for after-hour, rush, or emergency orders. Office Depot’s experience shows that many of their customers find this an important feature for an unexpected evening, Saturday, or Sunday requirement.
