We, at Robberson Ford, are seeing trades of competitive brands including a sizeable amount of imports, as more than ever before consumers move to Ford. Oh yes, GM and Chrysler have emerged for bankruptcy protection, leaving their old stockholders and suppliers empty handed. Ford continues, under Alan Mulally’s leadership, to stick to their plan, paying down their debt from profits, not government money, and best of all remaining America’s only independent car company. I was excited to read about the just released third quarter earnings of $1.7 billion, a $690 million improvement from the third quarter of 2009. The hard work and sacrifices are now being realized in the bottom line! In October of 09, the title of my article “Why I Feel Good About Being a Ford Dealer,” is today titled, “Damn Right, I’m Proud to be a Ford Dealer” and represent America’s only independent car manufacturer. Thanks to all of you that have supported both Robberson Ford and Ford Motor Company during these trying times.
