Better Banks Wyoming Hosts Students Helping Haiti

Ms. Cheryl Green’s third grade class at Stark County Elementary School was studying Haiti when the earthquake hit. After seeing the devastation on the news, the kids wanted to do something and responded with compassion and a desire to help those in the country they had learned so much about. They put their heads together and decided that for a week they would collect donations in their class and then challenged every other class at Stark County Elementary School to match it.

At the end of the week, all the donations were collected and Ms. Green’s class walked to Better Banks’ Wyoming location where Branch Manager Sheri Copple helped them count all the money donated. They collected nearly $1,000 for the Red Cross to help relief efforts in Haiti.

Every bit of support helps and this class certainly did a great job! Congratulations to Ms. Green’s third grade class!
