The very first issue of the IMA newsletter, way back in 2003, debuted with this opening paragraph:
We've wanted to do this for a long time. Indeed, we have been preaching the merits of relationship marketing through targeted e-mail to our clients for many years.
Substitute the word "blog" for "targeted e-mail" and the same sentiments apply to the IMA blog. We talked about it on and off for years. But every time we wanted to embark on it, we found ourselves hesitating. While we had a great deal of industry experience and thought-leadership to share, we were still concerned. With our busy project schedules, where would we find the time? Did we really want to commit ourselves to writing more frequently than our newsletter?
