SCIP would like to announce the results of the 2009 Board Election. Those elected to the Board are as follows, in alphabetical order: Adrian Alvarez, Erik Glitman, Jens Thieme, and Todd Welda.

While there were initially only three seats on the Board open in 2009, two factors allowed SCIP to open up a fourth seat to be occupied by an additional candidate.

First, current board member Jennifer Swanson has resigned her board seat for the coming year to concentrate on her career. SCIP would also like to thank Jennifer for her service as a long-time board member and supporter.

Second, there was a tie for the third seat on the Board. The four elected candidates will begin their posts on the board in January 2009.

The election results are based on votes by 16.9 percent of the SCIP, a greater percentage than voted in the 2008 Board election. SCIP is appreciative of all members who cast ballots, and candidates who we hope will continue to express interest as candidates in future elections.
