Ford has updated the 2009 F-150 in almost every way. Besides styling and raw power the All New 2009 F-150 has tons of standard safety features including side canopy airbags, Advancetrac with Roll Stability Control and a Trailer Sway Control. All of these features COME STANDARD!
Ford has also done away with the V6 and now offers an all-V8 engine lineup! They haven't forgotten about fuel economy though. The base 2 valve 4.6L V8 engine achieves more horsepower than the outgoing V6 engine as well as having 90% of its torque available at 2,000 rpm, but it still gets the same fuel economy as the V6! In addition, Ford's new 3 valve 4.6L V8 is rated at 21 MPG highway and still produces 292 horsepower! The Big Daddy has also gotten some improvements. Ford’s 5.4L V8 is now E85 compatible and can achieve up to 320 horsepower* while still being rated at 20 MPG highway! Both the 3 valve 4.6L engine and the 5.4L engine come standard with a brand new 6 speed transmission to increase fuel economy and help optimize power delivery!
The interior of the truck has also been redone to be even quieter, more comfortable and have all the latest technology right at your fingertips! The new Platinum Lariat package even has an acoustic laminate windshield, increased sound absorbing carpet and thicker rear side glass for MAXIMUM quiet in your truck!
