AmEnglish.com now offers products in 4 Asian Languages

“American Business Idioms” and “Effective Writing in English” now available online in 4 Asian languages.

Plug and Play: American Business Idioms” and “Write Now!! Effective Writing in English" are is now available in 4 Asian languages. These programs provide a bridge between academic English and English for business. The University of California-Santa Cruz Extension uses these programs as their “electronic textbooks” for online distance learning courses.

“We were asked to distribute this content in Mainland China and Korea. Adding localized instructions and explanations in Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean was essential to make it accessible to more students” stated Kathy L. Hans, the author of the programs. “Now that the improvements have been made, students here in the States from those countries will find these programs more ‘user friendly’.”

AmEnglish.com has also released a new Multi-Media product overview for “Pronunciation in American English” in Flash available at:

http://www.amenglish.com/products/pronunciation.cfm#slideshow.

“It has been difficult to quickly communicate the depth and the many interactive features of this product. This overview helps students and teachers see how the product works and immediately relate its benefits to their personal goals” added Kathy L. Hans.

The Pronunciation program is currently used by more than 350 colleges and universities in the United States. A student at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California commented “The intonation exercises are what I most needed. I was very impressed by the differentmeanings that take place when different intonation is used.”

AmEnglish.com has also developed a complete set of online automated final exams for each of these courses: “Pronunciation in American English”, “American Business Idioms” and “Effective Writing in English.” Now colleges can implement a cost effective site license and make these programs available on an independent study basis and credit can be awarded with an objective online exam.
