The 2011 Sonata – One of America’s Top 10 Family Cars

Each year, automotive information provider Kelley Blue Book (KBB) releases its list of “Top 10 Family Cars.” Each vehicle is assessed in a number of areas including safety, child friendliness, purchase price, economy of operation and resale value. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata made this year’s KBB’s ranking, impressing auto experts with its family-friendly vibe and innovative features.
 
Kbb.com Executive Editorial Director and Executive Market Analyst Jack R. Nerad notes that it wasn’t easy to pick just 10 top cars. “This year was especially difficult for the kbb.com editors to narrow down the Top 10 Family Cars of 2011 choices, as there is such a variety of new cars on the market today that have appealing features for the American family; capable versatility, value, safety and economical factors, to name a few.”
 
The latest Sonata offers drivers a wide array of technological options including an advanced navigation system with voice activation and an interactive touchscreen, integrated Bluetooth®, satellite radio and more. The Sonata provides excellent occupant protection and safety with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (TRAC) and Antilock Brake Systems (ABS). The Sonata was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and was the first midsize car to receive a five-star crash test rating under the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) new 2011 system.
