“Engineering Amazing” Campaign Featured on Pandora

As part of its “Engineering Amazing” campaign, Lexus will be featured on a dynamic, full-screen billboard advertisement on the recently redesigned Pandora® Internet Radio website.

The leading personalized radio service, Pandora gives people music they love anytime, anywhere, through connected devices. The personalized service is powered by the Music Genome Project, a detailed, hand built musical taxonomy. Tens of millions of people in the U.S. turn to Pandora to hear music they love on a daily basis.

Targeted to adults ages 25 to 54, the Pandora billboard uses a new type of HTML5 advertising on a large format, 970x250 web banner. The advertisement will serve as the first impression for Pandora users when they start their personalized stations. A Lexus-branded skin provides the backdrop to the featured “Crash Test Genius” video.

“The ‘Engineering Amazing’ campaign features some of our most compelling safety and hybrid technology, so it aligns well with Pandora and allows us to deliver our message to an engaged audience that expects to receive relevant ads with minimal disruption,” said Brian Smith, Vice President of Marketing at Lexus, in a press release.

“Engineering Amazing” highlights engineering at Lexus that goes way beyond developing solutions that only solve current problems. Through a dynamic system of forward thinking, Lexus engineering teams develop solutions that are not only relevant today, but also for decades to come.

The harmonious relationship forged between Lexus and Pandora has also produced a Pandora One trial offer and Future-Proof stations. Courtesy of Lexus, a targeted group of listeners received an offer to try Pandora One, Pandora’s premium, ad-free service, for 30 days free. Lexus also worked with music tastemaker Nic Harcourt to create a Future Proof Pandora station featuring a playlist of 100 songs that he predicts will still be listened to 10, 20 and even 50 years from now.

By partnering with Pandora, Lexus is going the extra mile to connect with its customers using the latest web technologies. It’s this same kind of forward thinking that will keep Lexus “Engineering Amazing” for years to come.
