Maintenance, Service and Record Retention are the owner's responsibility
You are required to perform regular maintenance on your Kia to keep the warranty in force. It is your responsibility to check such items as fluid levels and tire pressure regularly. Warranty claims can be denied, if a lack of maintenance is thought to be the cause of the failure. You should retain proof, such as your receipts, that the scheduled inspections and maintenance have been performed. Kia has two maintenance schedules, one for normal driving conditions and one for "severe" driving conditions. More frequent maintenance is required under the "severe" schedule. You should check your dealer to see which schedule is right for you.
