Powered by Microsoft, Kia UVO is a dynamic, voice-activated system that provides a personalized driving experience while keeping the driver’s attention focused on the road.
 
Through UVO technology, the driver uses simple voice commands to access a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone for hands-free calling and streaming music. The UVO system can also read and respond to incoming SMS text messages. It’s like having your own personal assistant with you right in the front seat.
 
The UVO nerve center is displayed on a 4.3-inch color LCD touchscreen located on the dashboard. When the car is put in reverse, the display transforms into a rearview camera, so you’ll never have to worry about backing up in tight spaces again. The touchscreen allows access to radio stations, connected MP3 players and the USB media drive, the contact list of your enabled cell phone and other important vehicle information. 
 
UVO features a Digital Jukebox, an in-dash hard drive that will store up to 700MB of music. Create your own MyMusic folders and sort your collection by song title, artist, album or genre or create a list of your favorite tunes. Find out what’s playing, change the song and easily sort through your music by voice command without taking your hands off the wheel.
 
UVO also offers HD Radio™, a crystal-clear broadcast of AM and FM radio stations that features new local FM channels. Several popular radio stations are already broadcasting their material through HD signals. UVO allows you to take advantage of this enhanced radio quality at no additional charge.
 
Using innovative Microsoft speech technology, UVO can learn speaking patterns of multiple users to create individual speech profiles. Through voice recognition software, the system can recognize exact speech patterns and voice inflection. It doesn’t get more James Bond than that.
 
Positioned well for the future, UVO was designed with the flexible Windows Embedded Automotive Platform, allowing for easy technological upgrades. The software can be easily updated to be compatible with new devices as they’re released.
