Rep. King invites input in battle for homeland security

An exclusive interview with
U.S. Rep. Peter T. King, R-N.Y.
Ranking Member
House Homeland Security Committee

U.S. Rep. Peter T. King is ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee and also serves on the House Financial Services Committee. He has been a champion in the ongoing effort to have homeland security funding based on threat analysis and is a strong supporter of the war against international terrorism, both at home and abroad. Among key legislative actions, Rep. King co-authored the Border Protection, Antiterrorism and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005 (H.R 4437). An attorney, he served as comptroller of Nassau County, N.Y., before entering the House of Representatives in 1993. Rep. King discusses his views on homeland security – and issues an invitation for input – in an exclusive interview with Maritime & Border Security News’ deputy editor, Paul Scott Abbott.
