Cisco Adds Continuous Data Protection to SMB Products

Linksys, the consumer and SMB division of Cisco Systems, will incorporate IBM Tivoli Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for Files software into the Linksys by Cisco small business products.  The Linksys by Cisco Continuous Data Protection for Files will come in three packages: for small offices with a workforce of three, 15 or 25 users.  Estimated street prices are $149.99 for three users, $674.99 for 15 users and $999.99 for 25 users.

Additions to Our Staff

Joel Davis

Data Center Operator - Youngstown

DRS is pleased to welcome Joel Davis as a Data Center Operator in the Youngstown office.  Joel has over 18 years of IT experience.  In his spare time, Joel enjoys fishing, boating, and family outings.  He resides in Cortland, OH with his wife Sherry and two children.


Guy Young
Data Center Operator - Youngstown

Guy Young joins the support team for our North Data Center.  His background includes experience in IT consulting and prior to joining DRS, Guy was responsible for field installation and support for electric parts catalogs for ProQuest Automative (formerly Bell & Howell) in Richfield, OH.  

He is looking forward to a shorter commute from his home in Hubbard.  He and his wife, Lisa, are the proud parents of a six-month old son, Nikolas.

 


Monty Mallas
Manager of Professional Services - Youngstown

We are pleased to announce the addition of Monty Mallus to our staff.  Customer satisfaction will be his number one priority as he directs and schedules professional services resources to address in a timely manner any problem a customer is experiencing.  Monty will also be responsible for forecasting billable work, scheduling requests for projects and internal service requests.

His background includes experience with Weirton Steel Corporation, President/Owner of Innovative Data Developers for 16 years, and IT Specialist for Forest City Enterprises.

 


Joshua Johnson
Data Center Operator - Youngstown

 

We are pleased to welcome Joshua Johnson as Network Administrator at the North Data Center.  Joshua holds an Associates Degree in electronics and a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Management with a focus in Computer Networking from DeVry Institute of Technology.  In December, he will complete his Graduate Degree in Computing and Information Science at Youngstown State University.  As a teaching assistant at YSU, Joshua taught three semesters of Business Communications (Microsoft Office) and will be teaching Introduction to Operating Systems.

In his spare time, Joshua enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, flying, servicing personal vehicles, and spending time with family.  He and his wife, Karen, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, reside in Poland, OH.
