High Number of BPS Schools Apply for Fall TGH @ School Program

In challenging times for the Boston Public Schools, 27 elementary schools expressed interest in applying for the TGH @ School program, which is more than 50% of the eligible amount of schools.

Foundation COO, Steve Gag and an advisor to the Mayor said that he was concerned about a possible lack of interest. “We were amazed such a high number of schools expressed interested in being a TGH@School.”

Five of the six successful pilot program’s school’s will be participating in the rollout that was projected to double for the 2004 academic year. Due to the high demand and high quality of the proposals two schools will be added to the roster bringing the program total to 14 schools.
