FleetBoston Financial & Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

FleetBoston Financial Corporation
Sarah Bates from Fleet's Consumer Loan Product Group has been instrumental in helping the foundation integrate the bank's unique no interest, no down payment, guaranteed loan program for Boston Public School low-income families into TGH @ School. Sarah works directly with branch personnel in several neighborhoods by educating them about the program and directing them to family orientation sessions at each of the fourteen schools participating in the TGH program. The representatives answer parent and teacher questions about the loan program at the sessions and will be able to follow-up with assistance during the application process scheduled for the fall.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Bay
Long time partner and supporter of BDBF programs BCBS of Mass Bay will be conducting a pilot program with TechBoston Consulting Group (TCG). The students/consultants participating in the pilot will be responsible for converting older versions of a database program to the most recent version which would also make it compatible with Windows XP. If the pilot works, TCG has the potential to convert nearly 12,000 computers to the new program.
