SBA: Cut EPA Electronic Reporting Rule
Sees impact on small business
The Small Business Administration (SBA) has filed comments with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), advising the Agency its proposed "Cross Media Electronic Reporting and Recordkeeping Rule" (CROMERRR) should be withdrawn because it does not adequately consider the impact on small businesses. One of SBA’s responsibilities in the federal rulemaking process is to advise agencies of the impact of proposed regulations on small businesses, and the SBA takes this responsibility very seriously.

Albertson's to Exit Four Markets
Several fuel centers affected
BOISE, Idaho -- In a move that could ease some competitive pressures on selected convenience store and gasoline retailers, supermarket giant Albertson's Inc. has announced its intention to completely exit four underperforming markets--Memphis and Nashville, Tenn., and Houston and San Antonio, Texas. Last week, the company also said it would sell eight stores in southwest Missouri and close a ninth after determining that nine stores was not a big enough presence to compete in that market.
