Oilfield services company Baker Hughes moves the majors into eCommerce

If you think you're having a difficult time moving your customers along the path to eCommerce, imagine if your customers were as large as your major oil company suppliers? That's exactly the case for Rick Wallace, EDI Administrator for Baker Hughes, the large oilfield services concern, who is currently working with a number of large exploration and production companies -- including several majors -- in moving their business interaction online. EPA Chief Considers Gas Blend Limits
Whitman may review need for "boutique fuels"

WASHINGTON -- Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Christie Whitman is considering reducing the number of so-called "boutique fuels" currently required in various states to as few as four. Today, petroleum marketers must make as many as a dozen different fuel blends available, based in state and local requirements, as a means of controlling pollution. Storage and distribution of multiple blends has been blamed for at least a portion of recent summertime gasoline spikes.
