ILMA Family Loses Two Members

Patrick Mitchell executive vice president of Yuma Industries died April 11. Previously, he worked for Dubois Chemical, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a PADI Scuba Diver alumnus. His wife LaDonna Richardson Mitchell; children Tana Peterson, Melissa Strong, Kristen Sheley, Christopher Coolidge; mother Ethel Mitchell; brother Mike Mitchell; and seven grandchildren survive him. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Shelby County United Fund.

Leon Hicks (Rhett), 58, died at Willis-Knighton Pierremont on Thursday, April 18, 2002 after a brief illness. Lee was a native of Houston, TX and a resident of Shreveport, LA for 24 years. He was a co-owner and President of Premier Lubricants for the past two years. His career of over 30 years was spent in the lubricants industry. Lee moved to Shreveport in 1979 when Specialty Oil Company employed him as Senior Vice-President of research and development. He was a leader in the Lubricants industry and served on the board of ILMA for many years. When not at work Lee could be found on the golf course. Lee was well loved and respected by everyone.

His mother and grandmother preceded Lee in death. He is survived by his wife, Pam Hicks; father, Oliver Leon Hicks; daughter, Dorinda C. Martin-Nez and her husband, Travis L.; son, James S. Wallain and his wife, Shauna; four grandchildren, Derek Lee, Dusti, Destiny and Bentli; sister, Rhea Bergeron and her son, Troy.
