EPA Launches E-Commerce Reporting Portal
Allows for electronic reporting of data

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the establishment of a single portal on the internet for all environmental data entering the agency.

The new “Central Data Exchange” (CDX) offers companies, states and other entities that provide data to EPA a faster, easier and more secure option for reports required for the Toxic Release Inventory, risk management plans, and contaminant monitoring rules. CDX currently accepts data for certain air, water, waste and toxic programs, and will gradually expand to support all Agency environmental reporting by 2004. More information is available on the website at www.epa.gov/cdx.
