Jet fuel marketer targeting Northwest

WARRENVILLE, Ill. -- Air BP, a marketer of aviation fuels for more than 600 locations in the U.S. and at more than 1,500 locations in 90 countries, is adding 105 former Texaco dealers to its branded network through its distributor Valley Oil Co. The dealers are all located in the northwestern U.S., an area that Air BP said it has targeted for growth.

The dealers located in the northwestern U.S. are primarily in California, Oregon and Washington. The first of such moves was BP’s acquisition of Arco in 2000, which had critical refineries located in the region, it said.

“Only through a close relationship with Valley Oil and a mutual understanding for the level of service that Air BP dealers demand, were we able to take such a large step forward in providing a more complete dealer network, especially in the northwestern region,” said Brian Blazina, manager, general aviation Americas.

“We have been an Air BP distributor for more than six years and look forward to continuing this successful relationship,” said Mike Delk, president of Valley Oil, Salem, Ore. Valley Oil represents and distributes aviation fuel on behalf of three major oil companies.
