SACO, Maine — Intelligent Controls Inc. has deployed its Ethernet Port Servers at approximately 750 Hess convenience store/retail fueling sites along the East Coast. Through the system, Hess will have access to tank data at its locations via its satellite communications network.

Designed to provide TCP/IP connectivity and interface with existing tank gauging hardware, INCON's EPS was used to connect INCON tank gauges as well as gauges from other manufacturers to the Hess satellite communications network. Receiving the critical fuel management information at the other end of Hess' secure satellite network is INCON's System Sentinel Windows NT remote monitoring software, providing Hess with access and control of fuel management information ranging from environmental compliance reports to real-time fuel inventory data.
