PCC Network Solutions was selected to design and build a structured cabling infrastructure in a newly constructed forty-nine thousand square feet building for the Acura R&D division of American Honda Motor Co. PCC Network Solutions worked with Acura to deliver the solution, which provides connectivity for various voice and data applications.

The new building is used by Acura Designers and Engineers who are involved with the concept, research and development, and design/engineering, of new models for the Acura brand. The structured cabling installation included Category 3 and Category 6 Cable for connectivity of 143 voice and 389 data ports, as well as 300-pair copper cable and three Indoor/Outdoor 24-strand Single Mode Fiber Optic Cables (between three buildings) for Outside Plant (OSP) connectivity on the Honda building campus. PCC also provided the installation and build-out of a communications rack in the Main Distribution Frame (MDF), in order to provide indoor connectivity to external communications links.

PCC was involved in the early phases of the project, coordinating with Acura R&D facilities and IT staff to design a flexible and innovative structured cabling system for this new building. The system met all of Acura R&D's current and future voice/data requirements and provides them with the flexibility to easily accommodate future cubicle reconfigurations. PCC worked along side an electrical contractor, as well as other trades, as the building was being built and was able to complete the design and installation under budget, while meeting all project deadlines. Upon completion, PCC provided Acura with a NextLAN Lifetime Warranty on all copper and fiber optic cable and cabling components.
