Release 4.0 of DataDirect's industry leading suite of JDBC drivers, which is scheduled to be released at the beginning of September, fully supports the JDBC 4.0 specification as described in the feature article in this newsletter.

JDBC 4.0 is a significant advance in the standard, providing many important new features such as robust support for the SQL 2003 XML data type, more control over connection and statement pooling for high-end application performance and scalability, and many features that make it easier for developers to write JDBC applications, including far more efficient debugging of SQLExceptions.
