2008 Design Award
Winners
@ D-Tools University

Winning companies reveal impressive projects that were created with D-Tools Award-winning System Integrator software.  Over $20,000 in prizes were donated by APC AV, Atlantic Technology, Draper Inc, D-Tools, and Middle Atlantic Products.

D-Tools, Inc. is pleased to announce the winners of the 2008 D-Tools Design Awards. This annual contest recognizes excellence in System Integration projects utilizing D-Tools System Integrator software in four categories; Best Overall Project, Best Residential, Best Commercial, and Most Unique (Residential or Commercial). Winners were selected by the D-Tools development and marketing teams. The winning entries were judged on a number of criteria, including originality, most thorough use of D-Tools’ software functionality, overall visual quality of designs, plans, and schematics; and which projects best communicate the system designer’s vision. The Design Awards were created to showcase the most dynamic and innovative residential and commercial projects created with D-Tools System Integration software, and this year’s winners clearly demonstrate that.

The 2008 Design Award Winners:

Best Overall System was awarded to Mauricio Barrientos of Media Connections, Inc.  Mauricio’s work included some very innovative uses of  SI5’s drawing capabilities, including side views on elevation drawings that helped document the system more clearly for both the client and the installers, the drawings themselves were extensively detailed and visually conveyed the sophistication of the extensive AV, networking, and security systems being integrated for the client. This project exemplified the best overall design, most extensive use of SI software, most detailed and extensive schematics, extensive plan views and overall very impressive work.

Most Unique System
