Zektor designs and manufactures premium quality, fully featured, A/V matrix switches as well as CAT5/5e/6 distribution products. All of our products are manufactured and supported here in the USA. Our newest offering, the Clarity Elite 8x8 component A/V matrix switch, carries a 5 year warranty with some of the best specifications in the industry. Zektor will offer 8X16 configurations in component and CATX options with the ability to cascade before the end of the year.

Zektor has also begun shipments of our new SoloCAT™ family of CATX extenders. The SoloCAT™ product sends audio, video and power over a single CATX cable up to 500’ powered only on one side or 1000’ powered on both sides. Single cable capability is a great feature for retro fits and new installations. Zektor will be releasing more products by the end of this year than in any other time in the company’s history. We believe that you can still offer a premium quality product at a competitive price without having to go to another country to do it.

We sell directly to installers and integrators across the USA and the globe. In addition, Zektor does have limited reseller partners for end users and those not wishing to purchase direct. Our goal is to provide a premium quality product where you can still maintain good margins. Look for Zektor products in the major controller libraries of AMX, Control4 and Crestron.

AMX

AMX® recently announced its expanding its award winning line of the 5.2” Modero ViewPoint® Widescreen Touch Panels to include the 5.2” MVP-5100 ViewPoint IR Touch Panel and MVP-5150 WiFi® ViewPoint Touch Panel, bringing a new level of simplicity and cost effectiveness to the AV control market. The MVP-5100 is built on the same lightening fast processor as the MVP-5200i, offers the same eye-popping crisp high resolution graphics and comes in Gloss Black.

Designed as a lower cost alternative to the 5.2” Modero ViewPoint® Widescreen Touch Panel MVP-5200i, the MVP-5100 and MVP-5150 are perfect for individuals who want the sleek sexy design of the MVP-5200i, but do not need all of its rich features. Both Touch Panels are built on the award winning MVP-5200i platform providing fast, power-efficient processing – up to three hours of continuous use and two and a half days of standby use – and excellent resolution (800x480 WVGA) in a 5.2” widescreen display. The sleek design is extremely compact and light (weighs only one pound) and it fits into the MVP-5200i table and wall charging system.

The MVP-5100 offers one-way IR communication and is ideal for single room control such as a home theater, home office or hotel room. Its built-in IR only communication can be very important in mission critical applications where 802.11b/g may not be permitted. The MVP-5150 extends the end users control to an entire home or office via its WiFi (802.11 b/g) capabilities. The MVP-5150 works seamlessly with AMX’s popular Resource Management Suite®, the most robust software platform available for managing, monitoring and tracking assets, as well as scheduling meeting/class rooms. It also incorporates the highest wireless network security standards, including WEP, WPA, WPA2, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS and PEAP.

Options and Availability
The MVP-5100 and MVP 5150 is available in gloss black. The optional Table Charging Station and Wall Charging Station both come in gloss black and white. The touch panels are available to ship in 30 days.

AudioControl Debuts Premium Home Theater Platform

Mountlake Terrace, WA   AudioControl, long known for their legendary offerings of high performance audio components, breaks new ground at the 2008 CEDIA Expo with the unveiling of their new high definition theater platform.  The new Concert AVR-1, developed on this new generation platform, is a surround sound receiver/controller designed to be a premium product that reflects refined styling, maximum flexibility and optimum performance for home theater enthusiasts.

The high gloss of the front panel is complimented by the striking blue LED display and custom designed trim bezel.  Power levels of the Concert AVR-1 are confirmed when one admires the hefty, gold plated, high current 5-way binding posts. One hundred twenty individual Input and Output connectors for video and audio connections confirm that the intention of the AVR-1 is to be the intellect of any theater system.

“An enthusiasts enjoyment of their home theater system is as much about the look and feel of their components as it is about the video and audio performance”, described Chris Kane of AudioControl. “This New Generation platform with Advanced Technology was designed to maximize the theater experience on all levels, offering sonic pleasure along with video intoxication and pride of ownership.”

Designed to offer maximum system flexibility matched with advanced technology, the Concert AVR-1 supports the latest surround codex’s of Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master along with traditional formats of Dolby Digital and DTS High Resolution. Raising the bar even more, the AVR-1 accepts signals from up to five discrete high bandwidth (1080p) HDMI inputs. The dual HDMI outputs are then assignable by the integrator to allow for priority switching via the display device.  Component, composite and S-Video signals are also automatically upconverted and scaled to their maximum potential resolutions.

To properly complete the signal path, the Concert AVR-1 utilizes AudioControl’s legendary Class H amplifier topology to powerfully drive even the most demanding speaker systems. Known for pristine sonics, cool operating temperatures, and ultra reliability, this highly efficient design literally “sips” current, which helps it to satisfy even the “greenest” of customers.  Despite it’s minimal current draw, the Class H design is powerful enough to drive 120 watts per channel (840 watts total), with all channels being driven into 8 ohms. The AVR-1 also has the additional ability of driving into lower impedance’s when necessary. In recent years AudioControl amplifiers have received a number of awards and accolades from listeners that confirm the high performance levels of  Class H.

The new theater platform is built to AudioControl’s exacting standards and is designed to offer a plethora of highly valued features for custom integrators:

-         Dolby Volume

-         Audio and video outputs for second and third zones

-         Complete control via RS-232 serial commands or IR commands

-         Dual assignable HDMI outputs with priority switching

-         Sirius Satellite Capable (w/optional tuner)

-         Streaming audio via Ethernet, WiFi or USB

Additionally AudioControl demonstrates their commitment to reliability by backing the Concert AVR-1 with a full five-year Bulletproof Warranty unmatched in the industry.

The AudioControl Concert AVR-1 is scheduled for release
in the 4 th quarter of 2008.

Colorado vNet

Colorado vNet has enhanced their digital distributed Vibe Audio System to make it easier to control multiple rooms simultaneously. The new capabilities include dynamic party mode presets, remote zone control and do-not-disturb functionality. The Vibe Color Touchscreen Amplifier, recognized in the industry for state-of-the-art design, intuitive interface, and outstanding integrated home control—including audio, lighting, climate, security, CCTV cameras, etc.—is easier to use and delivers more features than standard analog systems, providing homeowners and integrators better value.

Key features include:

Party Mode with Four Presets: Effortlessly link rooms together to listen to the same music. Pressing a preset button will tune the rooms stored in the preset to the current audio source, and even set their volume to the remembered level. Homeowners can quickly reprogram the presets at any time by setting up the room configuration and volumes they choose, and pressing and holding the preset button as on a car radio. They can even name the presets using the on-screen keypad.

Power Down: When the party ends, quickly power off a group of touchscreens or the whole house, with a simple button press on any touchscreen.

Flexible Party Mode Operation: Add/remove any room at any time.

Remote Zone Control: Control any zone from any Vibe Color Touchscreen, e.g., turn down the volume in a teenager’s room.

Do Not Disturb: Lock the source or room to avoid unwanted changes, or lock an entire group or house to avoid guests changing the music during a party or open house.

As a no-cost upgrade, the new Vibe features will become standard in all Vibe Audio Systems, and available as a free firmware upgrade for installed systems.
