PETNET offers solution to the recent shortage of Technetium 99mTc labeled radiotracers
The recent shortage of Molybdenum has caused a temporary shortage of 99mTc labeled radiopharmaceuticals and may continue over the next several weeks. PETNET is prepared to increase production and availability of 18F Sodium Fluoride to replace Technetium MDP bone scans.
PET affords improved ability to determine the presence and extent of bone metastases and valuable answers to a common problem physicians face in treating their patients with possible bone metastases.
18F Sodium Fluoride is available from most of our PETNET pharmacies across the United States. Please contact your local PETNET sales representative for more information regarding the availability of 18F Sodium Fluoride in your area. The SNM Opinion Statement about billing of 18F Sodium Fluoride bone scanning can be viewed at the SNM Coding Corner: http://interactive.snm.org/index.cfm?PageID=5025
If you are unaffected by the shortage at this time, please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss any future needs. PETNET is committed to your business.
