Gulf's Growth Goals
Northeast brand sees opportunities in Florida, Mid-Atlantic, beyond

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- As Gulf Oil prepares for what could be coast-to-coast expansion, the fuel supplier has set its sights on two areas of the country in particular: Florida and the Mid-Atlantic states. "Our hope is that we make a grand splash in the Mid-Atlantic," said Rick Dery, senior vice president and chief sales and marketing officer.
As reported yesterday, Gulf, a whole owned subsidiary of Cumberland Farms, has acquired all rights, title and interest to the Gulf gasoline brand in the United States from Chevron USA for the first time, opening up the door to expansion opportunities across the country.

Wawa Helping in Haiti
Campaign will assist in earthquake relief effort; donating $20,000 to Red Cross
WAWA, Pa. -- Wawa has launched a chain-wide, in-store crisis campaign designed to send aid to those affected by the Haitian earthquakes. The campaign is being held in partnership with the American Red Cross and allows customers to help contribute to the disaster effort through scannable UPC coupons in which customers can add $1 to their Wawa purchase at checkout.
All donations made through Wawa's campaign will be donated to the Red Cross International Response Fund and will be designated specifically for the current crisis in Haiti. These funds will be used to help the Red Cross provide immediate and vital support to earthquake victims.

Growing or Slowing
CSP Daily News adds SKU-specific scorecard to Week in Review edition
OAKBROOK, Ill. -- CSP Daily News will beef up its Week in Review edition with an exclusive look at SKU-specific product performance reports, dubbed "Growing or Slowing," in major in-store categories.
Beginning tomorrow with a look at the energy-drink category, CSP Daily News will present a look at how the top 10 convenience store SKUs are performing using Information Resources Inc.'s (IRI's) Convenience Allscan data. The reports will show both unit sales and dollar sales for a recent four-week period, while also providing insight from the data.
