Distinguished Lecturers Series to Resume Next Spring
Lectures Support Local Students Attending Crow Canyon Programs
The Distinguished Lecturers Series, organized by the Friends of Crow Canyon advisory board, features presentations on wide-ranging subjects by scholars from across the country. The Friday-night lectures are held on the Crow Canyon campus, unless noted in the schedule, and proceeds help underwrite the participation of local students attending Crow Canyon programs. The schedule will be available in early 2012.
The Friends of Crow Canyon also supported an event this past September—an engaging presentation by Dances with Wolves costumer, artist, and historian Cathy A. Smith. A large audience attended, and proceeds from the event supported the Four Corners Youth Scholarship Fund at Crow Canyon.
Crow Canyon extends its appreciation to the Friends advisory board and all who attend the lectures—thanks to their generosity, 482 local students received scholarship support to participate in Crow Canyon programs this past year!
