Crow Canyon Lends Hand to Radio Station Fund-Raising
Local Radio Listeners Win Archaeology Tour of Four Corners
In April, Four Corners area public radio station KSJD held its spring fund-raising drive. Donors during the drive were eligible for several prizes, including the grand prize—a Four Corners archaeological tour hosted by Crow Canyon staff. In a random drawing, Vince and Nancy Lee, Crow Canyon Chairman's Council members, were the winners!
In August,Vince, Nancy, and guests Tony and Shelly Silva took advantage of their prize. They enjoyed an aerial tour of archaeological sites with Crow Canyon Supervisory Archaeologist Shanna Diederichs, an afternoon excavating at the Dillard site with Crow Canyon staff, and a hike at Mesa Verde National Park with Crow Canyon Research and Education Chair Mark Varien. Dinners and lodging were also included with the package.
KSJD promotes and sustains noncommercial, community-based broadcasting in Montezuma County and the Four Corners region. Our friends at KSJD frequently provide publicity for Crow Canyon events and news through public service announcements and on-the-air interviews.
Through member and local business support, KSJD raised more than $20,000. Crow Canyon is happy to be a part of KSJD's success!
