Pursuing a Degree of Excellence
The Center for Public Policy & Administration administers two public sector degree programs: The Master of Public Administration and the Master of Public Policy. The MPA degree provides students with a comprehensive education for managing in the public and nonprofit sectors. This year, 82 candidates are finishing MPA degrees. The Master of Public Policy started in 2006, and graduated its first cohort of five students this year. The MPP is designed for students who want to deepen their understanding of the policy process, better analyze policy options, and rigorously evaluate the effects of public policy.

Graduate students listen to Dean J. Steven Ott at The University of Utah’s College of Social and Behavioral Science graduation ceremony on May 2, 2008.
