Jetta Hybrid
Coming by the End of the Year!
by Scott Marlette
With fuel efficiency on the mind of shoppers today, VW expands into the Hybrid market with a second offering (Touareg Hybrid is also offered in the states) that will account for approximately 3% of sales as VW executives are projecting. The 45 miles per gallon figure is the estimated average for city/highway combined. While the TDI (diesel) models are currently the top choice for those seeking high mileage, the Hybrid will give people a choice base on driving habits and needs. Those that drive in mostly city roads will want to consider the hybrid vs. the TDI for mostly highway drivers.

Vehicle Profile: The 2012 Volkswagen Jetta
The VW hit gets even better for 2012.
The Volkswagen Jetta was all new for 2011, and a significant bump in sales tells the story of the public's satisfaction with the larger and, amazingly, lower-priced, Jetta. Volkswagen isn't satisfied to just sit still, however, so for 2012, the Jetta model range is expanded to 12 different choices, which expand the car's performance, efficiency and equipment levels. Volkswagen has the momentum of a 70 percent sales increase for the first nine months of 2011 versus the old Jetta, and the tweaks for 2012 means that few shoppers will leave a Volkswagen showroom unable to find the very car they're looking for.
