Tech Tip of the Month: Bluetooth Voice Recognition
April Tech Tip
by John

This month's tech tip is coming based off of many customer concerns based upon the voice recognition for the various Bluetooth systems in our vehicles. We have noticed that many complaints of voice recognized calls come from calling someone in your phone that has only the first OR last name in your phone book. We have found that if your contacts all have first and last names (or full company names for businesses) the system has a much easier time of recognizing which contact you are trying to reach. If you’re still having problems finding the right contact through voice activation, try using the voice recognition on your phone without the car connected. If the phone cannot recognize who you're trying to call, neither will the Bluetooth system in your car. If you find the phone recognizes the contact but then the vehicle doesn’t we then more than likely have an issue that can be addressed and resolved.
