The all-new 2017 Jeep® Compass is the most capable compact SUV ever. For 2017, it gets a new design, impressive technology and advanced safety features.
Powering the all-new Compass will be a 2.4-liter Tigershark® inline four-cylinder engine that offers an optimal blend of power and fuel economy. Drivers can expect 180 hp, 175 lb-ft of torque and up to 30 mpg on the highway. The engine will be paired to your choice of a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic or a class-exclusive nine-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to handling the elements, the Compass is in a category by itself with two impressive four-wheel-drive systems. Jeep Active Drive® is a full-time system perfect for those who live in areas where poor weather is inevitable. For maximum off-road capability, the all-new Compass is also available with the Jeep Active Drive Low that helps the Compass Trailhawk® earn the Trail Rated Badge. A 20:1 crawl ratio and up to 19 inches of water fording are just some examples of what’s in store. Both four-wheel-drive systems utilize a disconnecting rear axle and power take-off unit to minimize fuel waste. Additionally, both feature the Selec-Terrain® system with driver selectable modes, and the Active Drive Low System also adds Selec-Speed® Control with Hill-descent Control.
The Compass’ shell is comprised of more than 65 percent high-strength steel to help with driving dynamics and safety. Altogether, the Compass offers more than 70 available safety and security features, including standouts like LaneSense® Departure Warning-Plus, Forward Collision Warning-Plus, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection, and ParkView® rear backup camera.
The all-new Compass will benefit from some of the latest technology, including three Uconnect® infotainment systems, highlighted by the award-winning Uconnect 8.4 with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ compatibility. A seven-inch LED driver information display is also available and is the largest in the segment too.
The all-new Compass gets a premium design while remaining recognizable as a Jeep with its clamshell hood and seven-slot grille. This grille is now more refined with a gloss black field for each of the individual chrome slots. A power liftgate is also available.
The Compass will be available in Sport, Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk models. Stop by for more information.
