DVD's FOR OUR TROOPS

Do you have any DVD's that you do not watch anymore? That are just
laying around gathering dust? Would you like to see them used, by
some young man or woman far away from home who is trying to forget
about where they are?

A Masonic Brother of mine is collecting DVD's to send to the troops in
Iraq. He is gathering them together to send to a chaplain who will
then lend out the DVD's to the troops. This becomes a way for the
troops to talk with a chaplain without being razzed by their friends.

Please contact to arrange pickup or delivery of your DVD's:

Now on DriveLiveTV: The 2008 Chevy Tahoe Hybrid

When someone says they drive a Hybrid, what's the very first thing that pops into your mind? Go ahead, say it... "Small". You probably don't envision eight passengers on board and a boat in tow either, do you? Didn't think so. Well, Chevy has decided it's time to re-invent the Hybrid and expand its capabilities with the new-for-2008 Tahoe Hybrid.

Some Facts About Shocks
by mcqueen

Pioneering vehicle manufacturers were faced early on with the challenges of enhancing driver control and passenger comfort. Early suspension designs were designed in the way that front wheels were attached to the axle using steering spindles and kingpins. This allowed the wheels to pivot while the axle remained stationary leaving passengers worry free of rolling cars because of rocks and other hindrances that can cause the driver to loose control of the vehicle. Additionally, the up and down oscillation of the leaf spring was damped by device called a shock absorber .

EPA INCLUDES SEMA RECOMMENDATIONS IN NEW AUTOBODY PAINTING RULE
New Regulation Protects Hobbyists and Environment
www.semasan.com

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a rule to regulate paint stripping operations that use methylene chloride and surface coating, and auto body refinishing operations that use paints containing hazardous metal compounds. The rule targets hazardous air pollutants (HAP) which the agency believes may cause cancer or other health disorders. The rule applies to most coating activities that emit HAP but, notably, the EPA followed SEMA’s recommendation and exempted low-volume operations such as when hobbyists restore or customize one or two cars. The EPA incorporated a number of other SEMA suggestions to make the rule as friendly as possible for companies that have spray-coating operations.

CUSTOMS... MAGAZINES and MEMORIES
by K. Peddlar Bridges

Nobody likes the idea of heading toward the shady side of getting older. But, each life affords itself with its own time-share portion of memories.  For myself, I'm grateful that I rode through on the freight train of life, in the boxcar of youth, in the period that I did, 1959-1963.

For one thing, the Auto, the Hot Rod, and the Custom Car were Royalty.
