Volvo Shares the Spotlight
Volvo introduces viewers to the characters of Smash, along with the 2012 S60 Sedan.

Volvo vehicles have always been show-stoppers, immediately catching your eye as they pass by on the street. With so much time spent in the spotlight, it only seemed fitting for Volvo to co-host the world premier of the new hit television series, Smash, which airs Mondays on NBC.
Smash is produced by multiple Emmy- and Oscar-winner Steven Spielberg and features the acting skills of noteworthy stars like Debra Messing, Anjelica Huston and former American Idol contestant Catharine McPhee, among others. The series follows a group of aspiring actors who dream of hitting it big in Broadway theater. The plot focuses on the efforts to create a successful musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe, but behind-the-scenes drama, rivalry and heartache keep viewers coming back for more.
As one of the show’s sponsors, Volvo co-hosted the premier of the series, which was recently renewed by NBC for a second season. Enthusiasts can also enjoy Volvo’s introduction to Anjelica Huston’s character through a YouTube video that can be seen at While also introducing the characters of Smash, the video introduces the 2012 Volvo S60: “designed to play a leading role in your life.”
With headlining features like a turbocharged engine, luxurious interior appointments and an available premium sound system that puts you in your own theater on wheels, the Volvo S60 will offer you the celebrity treatment every day.
