The Southern Alberta
Institute of Technology (SAIT)
SAIT Fund Development is a fully
integrated department comprised of 19 staff, including 7 major gift
officers and professional staff dedicated to generating funding through:
the annual fund, planned giving, prospect research, data management, gift
processing, stewardship, donor relations, and administrative support.
As
a member of SAIT's management team, the Director provides institutional
leadership that guides the organization toward its mission and goals. The Director
will have the opportunity to celebrate the success of southern Alberta's
largest fund raising campaign (currently at $78 million raised in 3.5 years),
while at the same time laying the foundation for effective stewardship and new
campaign programs.
The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a

Board who understand the fund development culture necessary to advance an

productivity.
The successful candidate will possess an
undergraduate degree in a relevant area[s1] , in addition to a minimum of 10 years professional leadership
experience in the public and/or non-profit sectors, 5 of which will have been
in fund development. A CFRE credential and an advanced degree are
preferred. The candidate will possess superior problem-solving and decision-making
skills, be action-oriented, and able to garner support and respect from diverse
constituents. He or she is recognized
for having achieved successful development initiatives and for bringing
accountability to the development process. A strategic thinker with
excellent interpersonal communications skills, the successful candidate has
enjoyed success leading creative teams, setting priorities, achieving results
and managing resources.
