Breathing Life into Compliance Training
Learn how to engage learners through our tested strategies

Have you ever heard someone say, "Compliance training is sooo boring!" It simply does not have to be that way! Believe it or not, even the most mundane compliance training is required for a compelling reason. Find that reason and express it in a powerful way and you can engage the learner.
Sometimes even the clients paying for the training may not believe the material is interesting. They may think that compliance training is just a check in the box so the government will allow them to bid on lucrative contracts. How to Make e-Learning Effective
Improve business results by applying performance-based techniques to e-Learning

Typical e-Learning is based on topics and content, and tests knowledge of content rather than an individual’s ability to perform. Instead, organizations should apply Criterion-Referenced Instruction (CRI) with its emphasis on providing practice opportunities that mirror job performance requirements.

CRI is the only learning design technology in existence. CRI evolved from business needs for effectiveness and efficiency.  Other approaches, including e-Learning, are instructional development technologies and are more closely aligned with the traditional academic approach.

CRI-based instruction, no matter what the delivery method, uses analytical procedures to identify the job-specific performances that students need to practice. These practices are incorporated into the instruction regardless of which delivery media are selected.

Decisions about what delivery media to use are based on the nature of the practice. Different media may be used even within a single module of instruction. E-Learning can be used quite effectively for presenting information prior to the practice of a skill. So, for example, in a module on conducting a sales call, product knowledge information could be provided via e-Learning, but students would need to practice conducting the sales call either live or in a simulated situation such as a role play. The performance dictates the delivery media.
