SoxFest 2008
Save The Date

SoxFest 2008 presented by U.S. Cellular Field will be held January 25 - 27, 2008 at the Palmer House Hilton, which is located at 17 East Monroe Street in downtown Chicago.

Due to demand, the Chicago White Sox and the Palmer House Hilton have worked together to make additional hotel packages available for SoxFest 2008.

A very limited number of the two-night hotel packages will be available to the public on Friday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. through the Palmer House Hilton reservation line at 877-865-5321.

The special SoxFest hotel rate is $249 (plus tax and applicable charges) for a two-night stay. Fans are limited to two rooms per reservation, and there is an additional charge of $25 per person in rooms with more than two adults.

A limited number of Saturday/Sunday combination passes will be made available for sale to the general public at a later date.

Fans who are able to purchase a two-night stay the SoxFest rate can purchase up to four (4) weekend passes, equal to the number of guests in their hotel room. Please note that SoxFest passes ($75) must be purchased in addition to the hotel package. Children under 3 DO NOT require a SoxFest pass.

The White Sox will contact those who are able to secure a hotel stay at the special SoxFest rate via email in the next two weeks regarding the purchase of SoxFest weekend passes and the Premium Upgrade Packages.

NEW, EXCITING CHANGES FOR SOXFEST 2008:

  • Friday night of SoxFest is open to SoxFest hotel guests only In response to the question of what special perks do hotel guests receive, we have made Friday night of SoxFest open to hotel guests only.
  • SoxFest Premium Upgrade Packages
Fans who purchase a two-night stay at the SoxFest rate and a SoxFest weekend pass are eligible to upgrade to one of the limited number of SoxFest Premium Upgrade Package, which is $200 per person (see below for details).

In recent years, fans expressed an interest in more of an "exclusive" experience at SoxFest. The Premium Upgrade Package offers fans an opportunity to take advantage of that type of experience.
  • Interactive Area
The Grand Ballroom will now be an interactive area with games and entertainment for fans of all ages.

The new interactive arrangement in the Grand Ballroom will allow all attendees the opportunity to participate in unique activities at this year's SoxFest.
  • Photo Booth
SoxFest 2008 will feature a photo booth, giving fans the opportunity to take a picture with a White Sox current or former team member.

Although one-on-one photos are discouraged in autograph lines due to time constraints, one of most memorable elements of SoxFest for fans is having their picture taken with players. The new photo booth will allow fans to have an official SoxFest photo taken with a White Sox team member.
  • Signage
In response to feedback from fans, more adequate directional signage for elevators, stairs and attractions at SoxFest.

SoxFest will continue to feature our most popular attractions, such as: autograph booths, seminar room, The Chicago White Sox Charities Garage Sale, Whitesox.com and the SoxFest Family Party.

Current team members who have attended in the past include: Ozzie Guillen, Mark Buehrle, Jermaine Dye, Josh Fields, Bobby Jenks, Paul Konerko, Jim Thome and Javier Vazquez. As current and former team members are scheduled for SoxFest, the list will be updated on Whitesox.com.
