You wanted to know:
"How can I save money on IT?"
At CBE Technologies, our mission is to help companies improve their business efficiencies while helping to reduce their overall IT costs. As owners of a growing business ourselves, we have first-hand experience on the challenges New England’s small and medium organizations face in providing quality products and services while controlling costs and increasing profitability.
From our experience, a few best practices in IT for saving money - and ones we use at CBE are:
1) Consolidation: We are always assessing the costs of our technology resources like servers and storage and consolidate whenever possible. This adds efficiency and cuts costs in support.
2) Convergance: Combining voice and data is a guaranteed savings…especially with the new VoIP solutions available on the market today. In our offices alone, the annual savings from year to year will be over 20%.
3) Leveraging shared-technology support solutions: Small and medium businesses on their own can not afford many of the high-tech support solutions that are available today, such as remote monitoring systems. But by hiring an outsourced technology managed service provider that amortizes the costs of these solutions across a number of clients -- every one wins. CBE is constantly evaluating new technology based support solutions, improving our own, and working to reduce everyone costs.
We hope you will read on in this issue of 1source to learn how CBE Technologies has helped the Boston Celtics, Work ‘N Gear, and ourselves to save money and meet business objectives. It is amazing how we all have similar challenges -- and how many innovative solutions are discovered through sharing ideas.
