Christmas Greetings
by Dorothy Selebano
Two thousand years ago, in a small town called Bethlehem the Saviour of the world was born. Heaven rejoiced, a choir of angels sang a wonderful melodious song: "Glory to God in the highest, PEACE on earth goodwill to man". But, amazingly, the world has no peace, instead, there are wars and rumors of war; hatred; bloodshed; anger, bitterness and strife. Why? Because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Sin has separated mankind from God. There is no peace for the wicked. Nothing in this world can give man peace, be it education or wealth. Nothing in this world can solve the problem of sin, there is no remedy.
PRAISE GOD! CHRIST JESUS, THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD WAS BORN. God's gift to mankind. (John 3:16)
He gives PEACE which passeth all understanding. We, children of God, who have accepted this gift are witnesses of this PEACE, I would therefore exhort you my dear sisters, during this festive season to go, tell it on the mountains, over the hills and everywhere that JESUS CHRIST IS BORN. As people exchange gifts which perish, we can tell them about the gift of eternal life, JESUS THE SAVIOUR that never perishes.
"NGWANA RE MO TSALECWE, POLOKO RE E AMOGETSE, KARABO YA MATHATA OTHE A lEFATSHE LENO" - For us a child was born, salvation we have received, which is the solution to the problems of this world. (Christmas greetings in the heart languange of Dorothy Selebano with translation.)
Merry Christmas from the BWA Women's Department, Dorothy Selebano President, BWA Women's Department
