Vehicle Details: 2016 Buick Cascada
The Buick convertible is back

The all-new 2016 Cascada, available soon here at Colonial Buick GMC in Watertown, Massachusetts, marks the return of a Buick convertible to North America for the first time in 25 years. The new Cascada is well worth the wait; it brings impressive style, technology and performance that are all worthy of the Buick name.

“The Cascada’s design blends the suggestion of speed with sophisticated and uncompromising details,” said Holt Ware, Buick exterior design director. “Most convertibles are designed from existing coupes or sedans, meaning stowage of the top is an afterthought, but not this Buick. It looks handsome and has a premium appearance when the top is lowered – and a perfect, seamless profile when it’s up.”

The well-balanced proportions of the Cascada benefit from Buick-signature wing-shape LED daytime running lamps and sleek, articulating, high intensity discharge headlamps. You’ll also find chrome trim, heated exterior mirrors, and 20-inch wheels. The innovative soft top is both thermally and acoustically insulated, and it opens, with the touch of a button, in less than 20 seconds, even while the Cascada is traveling at speeds of up to 31 mph.

Inside, a 2+2 seating arrangement and premium amenities ensure maximum passenger comfort. Standard features include leather upholstery; heated, eight-way power-adjustable front seats; a heated steering wheel; remote start; Bluetooth® wireless connectivity; the Buick IntelliLink infotainment system and navigation with seven-inch color display; an auto-dimming rearview mirror; and a rearview camera.

Premium trims add a front-seat air deflector, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, automatic headlamps with tunnel detection; Rainsense™ automatic wipers; and front and rear park assist as part of the Driver Confidence package. The Cascada trunk holds 13.4 cubic feet of cargo with the top up and 9.8 cubic feet with the top stowed, and the rear seat folds down electronically to increase storage space and accommodate longer items.

Buick protects Cascada drivers and passengers with an abundance of safety features, including StabiliTrak electronic stability control, traction control, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, automated pop-up rollover bars, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Five years of the OnStar Basic plan, is included, as is six-months of the OnStar Directions & Connections plan, and the OnStar RemoteLink mobile app. The Cascada is also covered by a six-year/70,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty with complimentary roadside assistance and courtesy transportation, a four-year/50,000-mile Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty and your first two scheduled vehicle maintenance visits within the first two years/24,000 miles.

A strong powertrain makes the new Cascada convertible great to drive. It includes a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine good for 200 hp and 206 lb/ft of torque––an overboost feature can temporarily raise torque to 221 lb/ft––and a six-speed automatic transmission. The sporty driving manners of the Cascada are thanks to a HiPer Strut front suspension and an ultra responsive Watts Z-Link rear suspension.

The all-new 2016 Buick Cascada (MSRP from $33,065) arrives in the spring. Stop in for more details and for updates on availability.
