After
over a decade of training trainers
without a mandatory requirement to
re-certify, we've decided its time.
The only way we can enforce
'quality assurance', maintain our
standards of excellence and support trainers & agencies in post
certification requirements (addendum, expert witness evals, updates) is if
those individuals who've completed our certification training courses maintain
contact with head office so we are current of their status and how the system
is integrated within their agency or unit.
The
certification time-line is set at 12 months. After this period if we
haven't received professional interaction, the certification will be deemed
'expired' and attending another course will be necessary to re-establish
status.
To maintain status, you may attend
any one of our S.P.E.A.R. System courses. As long as a CORE TRAINER can observe
that you are trained, improving and integrating current iterations and
developments in the research, your certification status remains.
Please read on....
GEOGRAPHY, FINANCES & BUDGETS, DEPLOYMENT, ETC.
These are
many obstacles that
may prevent trainers from attending advanced courses or maintaining more
consistent contact.
We're sensitive to
them.
Therefore (and this is experimental
at this point) we're going to base 'status' on many
types of professional
participation. In short, if an individual cannot make it to on-going
training then they can maintain a certification rank by:
a.
Contributing to on-going research through reports, writing
articles, supporting R & D etc. This is merit based of course; meaning the
energy & effort must be a realistic asset to our programs.
b.
Video Updates: You may send us footage of you teaching the key
drills.
c.
Hosting seminars: The easiest way to maintain contact is to have us
in-house. Host a seminar in your region, whether it’s a 1-day or 5-day course,
as long as we can interact, observe your skill and add to your knowledge base,
we're good-to-go.
Obviously the best way to improve, excel, and evolve is
through direct contact, but if attending a S.P.E.A.R. System or PDR course at
least once a year is an impossibility, then please contact us regarding the
above options.
Sincerely,
Tony
